[irssi-xmpp] Getting started?

Hi.

I've been using irssi for some time, and found irssi-xmpp as a plugin for 
connecting to jabber.

I use Debian, and irssi-plugin-xmpp is available as a package, which I've 
installed.

The thing is - now what?

I can't find any sort of "getting started" document, HOWTO, or FAQ on the 
irssi-xmpp websites at either http://cybione.org/~irssi-xmpp/ or 
http://gna.org/projects/irssi-xmpp/

What am I missing?

Where is the "beginner's guide to irssi-xmpp" please?

Basically, I know how to use irssi; I use IRC continuously.  I've never used 
jabber.  I've installed the Debian irssi-plugin-xmpp package and I need to 
know what to do next to be able to connect to a jabber server.  This must be 
the most fundamental thing to do with this plugin, yet I can't find the 
documentation.
